2016년 8월 25일에 맨체스터 시티로 이적을 한 브라보이다. 이적 당시 FC바르셀로나의 골키퍼 테어슈테겐과 함께 이적설이 떠돌았었다. 펩 감독 입장에서는 테어슈테겐을 원했으나 포기했다고 한다. 이적 직전에 테어슈테겐의 부상으로 FC바르셀로나 입장에서는 골키퍼 백업자원의 공백이 생기게 되어 잠시 보류가 되었었다. 하지만 2016 스페인 슈퍼컵 2차전을 마지막으로 맨체스터 시티에 합류하였다.

조 하트에 비해서 볼 컨트롤 능력에서는 월등히 나은 것이 증명이 되었다. 하지만 빌드업 과정에서의 도움이 얼마나 되었는지는 의문이다. 16-17 시즌 맨체스터 시티의 수비진이 굉장히 불안했기 때문이다. 펩 감독의 15-16 시즌 바이에른 뮌헨가는 전혀 다른 상황이기 때문이다. 수비진이 불안하여 볼을 점유하기에만 급급하여 볼을 시야와 압박과는 상관없이 뒤로 패스하여 시간을 낭비하는 모습을 많이 보였다. 이로 인해 브라보의 골키퍼로서의 능력이 자연스럽게 사라졌다. 볼을 소유하여 점유를 오래 하여도 결정적인 찬스를 많이 내주게 되었다. 자연스럽게 이 불안이 브라보에게 온 것이다. 결정적인 선방을 브라보가 해주어야 하지만 실제로 공격수에게 1대1 찬스가 더 유리한 것은 사실이다.
