2008년 8월 22일에 맨체스터 시티로 이적한 콤파니이다. 2011년에 카를로스 테베스로 부터 주장을 물려 받은 콤파니는 현재까지 맨체스터 시티의 주장이다. 본인은 콤파니의 리더십을 맨체스터 시티 경기에서 느낀다. 13-14 시즌 FA컵 왓포드전 전반전을 0-2로 마치며 맨체스터 시티가 지고 있었다. 후반전에 앞서 맨체스터 시티 선수들에게 터널에서 "나를 버리고 우리 안에 들어오면 특별해진다."라고 전하며 독려하였다. 정말 멋있다. 그리고 경기를 4-2로 역전시키며 승리하였다. 콤파니는 맨체스터 시티에서 굉장히 특별하고 중요한 선수이다.
